Wow. Another day with three babes, a cat and a dog. It went a-ite. Finn is missing his mom. He has said it once each day since they left. And...he did mention the other night that the waiter had the same name as his Dad. He was tired at montessory school today and his teacher called me to pick him up early just as Eden was drifting off to a much needed nap. I was stuck. I was also struck--for the first time I saw that having multiple children necessitates brilliant resourcefulness. I had to stretch my mental limits today and maybe I wasn't brilliant but I did figure out how to unlock the kids bedroom after Finn locked everbody out...including him. I asked him, "how do I open it?" He said, "my Dad knows how to do it." "Oh, okay." It wasn't until hours later I was able to occupy everyone enough to break away and break in. VICTORY...well that is how it felt. Finn and Ashton fell asleep in the living room again so I carried them down to bed for the fifth time. It is a huge priveledge to be able to do this. I love the way their little bodies just curl up perfectly and hold onto you while you take them to their beds. Then, when you set them down, they make that totally cute smacking sound with their mouths....ADORABLE.
